{ The Hubster }

Warning...

This post may be a little cheesy cause I'm dedicating it to my other half. I haven't blogged much about him but I want to start documenting our lives together. Here are some fun stories about Cam:

For the past few weeks I've been having these freaky nightmares about the strangest things. One, being about myself in the movie Wreck it Ralph. {Which by the way everyone should see because it is the CUTTEST most creative movie! I could watch it every day...literally. Cam can testify.} I dreamt that those mechanical monsters had babies everywhere and I had to kill all of them! First, I hate bugs. HAATE them. And second, dreams always feel SO real until you wake up right?? So, I finally wake up from this dream and roll over to Cam's side of the bed to say, "I had a bad dream". Immediately, I feel his arms wrap around me and I'm able to fall back to sleep. Like really?! Could he be any sweeter. And keep in mind this happens every two days or so. And every time I roll over he does the same thing. Every time. My mind likes to play tricks on me when I'm asleep. It's weird.

Another cute thing Cam does for me is warm up the bed. Don't jumping to conclusions people...he literally gets in bed before me and starts making snow angels to get the bed warm. Haha ok that was one time. {Name that movie} But still! It made me smile and it actually worked. Getting in a freezing bed when you're so tired and ready to just pass out is never ideal.

Cam also takes me to get fro yo because yes, I am OBSESSED with it! I was taking weekly trips to Spoon Me before they went out of business because it was seriously an addiction. The original tart flavor literally has some drug in it that keeps me coming and I was so sad to hear they went out of business. Well this last spring break, Rach told me that frozen yogurt places have this flavor and I about died. So, now I will be visiting frozen yogurt places at least once a week thanks to Rach. But Cam deals with it. I've been begging him to go for weeks and we finally went the other day. My ice cream alone may or may not have been over six dollars...but hey. You love what you love right? I love tarty fro yo, so sue me.

The list could go on and on about the adorable things my man does to make me happy. He's great at it and always tells me I'm beautiful. He knows exactly what I need when I need. I hope that everyone finds someone like him. Someone that treats them right and makes them the happiest person on earth. We all deserve that.

I love the chump.

{ Baby sister is all grown up! }

My baby sister is going on a mission to Sapporo, Japan!

She left last Wednesday, March 13. This is crazy talk!

I'm seriously so sad that she is gone but have never been more proud. She's such a strong girl and has always been so independent, unlike me. My little sister has taught me so much and I have looked up to her my whole life because of the way she believes in herself. That is one thing that my sister taught me. She taught me how to be a an amazing dancer by letting go of what others thought of me and learning to dance for myself. To believe in myself.

Misa and I were lucky enough to be just two years apart so we went to Jr. high and High school together. I was able to look after her and she was able to look after me. We danced on Skyline's dance company and took many dance classes together after school. We were able to share the same passion and grow from that. She taught me to have courage in times when I was second guessing my leadership positions and this meant the world to me. I was the first one out of my family to go to Utah State, thinking I would make this journey alone...but nope. Misa came with me! This made me so unbelievably happy because my support system came with me! It was so fun having her up here with me, dancing together again, and watching cartoon movies with me when Cam said they were "too childish".

She has strengthened me when I was weak and she was my best friend in times of need.

I'm going to miss her so much!

She's goign to be an amazing missionary because of the light that she has carried through out her whole life. She has such a strong testimony and will be able to share that love with the people in Sapporo. I know that she is going to make a difference and will be remembered by those people. I just ask one thing...keep her safe!! Bring her back to my family when she's done serving. My family means so much to me and my sisters and I will be the "Osterloh sisters forever" no matter what. We're getting bigger each year but that won't break the bonds that my sisters and I have. We love our goofy selves too much to let go of that.

So, to the people of Sapporo Japan... Sister Misako Osterloh is coming your way! Get ready.

Until next time,

{ Pretty Things }

I like pretty things. Things like:

My husband (I mean he's HANDSOME! Manly.)
Clothes
Make up
My mother
The snow (But then it should melt the next day)
Babies
Family
Dancing
Nude nail polish
My wedding ring
Sephora
Love
Health
Rain
Peonie flowers
Sparkles
Grandparents
High heels
Pink
My gold watch
Life (This is a good one. Very pretty and positive)

Practice the pretty test and tell yourself you're pretty everyday! Reminding yourself that you're pretty both INSIDE and OUT. My mom always told me, "Kumi, don't forget to make your insides pretty." I always want the cutest looks but my mom has always reminded me of what's most important. The inside.

Until next time,

{ The Lorax }

I know this movie has been out for a while, but oh. my. gosh! How cute is this movie!! Cam and I decided to watch it last night and I've already watched it again. The little bears and hilarious gold fish kept me laughing throughout the whole movie. And I'm a total sucker for these kind of movies. I'll watch them over, and over, and over, and over, until I'm singing every word to each sing a long. Oh and yes, I downloaded the cute, very catchy, songs that were from the Lorax. I've decided that I am a very childish adult. I'll watch Disney movies till the day that I die. Those sing a longs truly get me! For now, this is my new favorite movie. Seriously, if you haven't seen this movie....you should be ashamed. GO WATCH IT!! This is the best part of the movie...

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Nothing is going to get better. It's not.”

Dr. Seuss. What a man. He really did have a great mind for making real concepts come to life through simple examples. I've always been a Seuss lover because of that.

Anywho, that's it for now. I need to get crackin' on homework. Worked a few doubles this week and did lots of school and passed out at 7:30 p.m. last night........yeah. I told you, I'm a child.

Until next time,

{ Success }

Hey, here's a great thought...

My Grandpa Fred also sent me a letter with this inside:

"What is success?"

SETTING GOALS but not in concrete
STAYING FOCUSED but turning aside to help someone
FOLLOWING A PLAN but remaining flexible
MOVING AHEAD but not too fast to smell the flowers
TAKING A BOW but applauding those who had a part in your success

Just sayin', if Grandpa Fred is giving me this, it must be good. He has been the most successful man I know! So rich in life. Oh how I adore this guy.

My sweet husband also reminded me the other day to follow my dreams. I've been pushing them aside because they don't feel attainable. Where to start?! I've always wanted to do something with the cosmetics industry but guess what...I live in UTAH! There's not much I can do. Sadly, there are no business postions available here. It would be a dream come true to move to Cali or the big NYC and do marketing for a co. but it doesn't look like I'll be making the big move anytime soon. Blah. BUT, maybe my dream is retail? Make up artist? Who knows. I'm just excited for this obsession to become part of my every day life.

That's all.

Until next time,

{ THE update }

So, I've been bad. I haven't been very good about blogging but I'm changing my ways. I'm going to blog more because I have an exciting new life that is very worthy of documenting. First off, I need to update my life....

Cam and I are happily living in our basement apartment in Fredrico's parking lot. Yes. We like to call our home the Fredrico's living center. I finally finished decorating our living room, with the exception that our shelf is yet to be put up because we don't have a power drill. Sucks. But we love our little basement apartment and are now able to call it our own.

The Neeley's Halloween Party

 Halloween with the Jackson's

I found out that I WILL be walking in Spring of 2013!! Finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. What a crazy ride college has been. I learned a lot about business and life and even met my husband during these last four years.

Graduation Day

Misa decided to go on a mission and will be serving in Sapporo, Japan! How exciting right?! She is going to be the best missionary. I know, everyone says that but my sister really is the best. She has always been such a great example to me and all of my sisters.  But, I'm going to miss her so much. Who will be there to dance and throw their body around at family parties? Misa and I have been dancing hippie hop together ever since I was a jr. in high school. She's always been there for me and she knows how to rock the dance floor.

That's about all I can think about for now. I just want to say how excited I am that finals are finally over! It felt like they would never end. But you know what, they did. And my grades weren't the greatest (they never are) but I tried my hardest and I feel accomplished and that's all that matters. Now my cute hubby and I get to sit back and relax and enjoy each others company.

{ I'm getting married! }

So it happened. I'm engaged!!! I'm Mrs. Ryther to be. Can you believe it? I can't even believe that it's happened. Seriously. Every time I look down at my finger I see this really shiny thing and it kinda stops my heart and all I can do is smile. Actually, I can't stop smiling. Haven't been able to since the day it happened. I wasn't expecting Cam to have the ring so soon so this was a HUGE surprise. Here's how it happened:

The night before the proposal, Cam suggested a picnic for Sunday dinner. I absolutely loved that idea and was so excited for this picnic. So Cam comes over to my house picks me up, we make the sandwiches, and head off to first dam. We ate dinner, fed ducks, drank our favorite drink: diet coke, and just enjoyed the most beautful day outside. Then our good friend Casey called to ask if we would want to join him and Lindsay to watch sunset on the bench above Center street. So Cam asks if I want to go and of course I say yes.

We head up the street and when we see the bench, I turn to find a banner, flowers, and a photographer (my sister who I didn't recognize). Cam sees that our siblings aren't done setting up and so he zooms around the corner and says, "Wait, maybe that's not the place. Let me call Casey." Me, thinking NOTHING of it, says, "Cam did you see that? It looks like someone is being proposed to! There's flowers and a photographer and everything." Meanwhile, he's on the phone talking to Casey, wondering where he's at, and tells him that we will just meet him there. He gets off the phone with Casey and tells me that Casey said the decorations were there from the other night. Of course I think nothing of it and just say ok. So Cam flips around and drives back to the spot. While driving I had reclined my seat down all the way because I didn't feel great. While driving to the bench, I see this blonde girl run from a house to a parked car but couldn't see a face because of my reclined chair. So I'm thinking in my mind that someone has to be getting proposed to because she's booking it from somewhere. Of course, I take myself out of the equation immediately because I had been fooled and Cameron told me that the ring wouldn't be done for another month. Cam parks the car and walks me up to the bench and the decorations. I see the banner that says "she said yes." So I turn to Cam and say, "Cam! Really, I don't think we should watch sunset here. Someone has to be getting engaged here. We need to go somewhere else." Then I hear these words come out of Cam's mouth, "What if this was all for you...will you marry me." And I turn around and he is on one knee with a diamond ring.

So that's it!

I was VERY surprised and VERY happy that it happened. I couldn't believe that all of it was for me. I'm pretty sure I asked him if he was serious a few times before I said yes, but eventually, it happened and I said yes. It was such a great day and Mari was there to document the whole thing. I'm smiling from ear to ear in every picture but I couldn't help it. I'm getting married to the cuttest guy. I am and have been the happiest girl on the earth!

May 20 was the best day of my life thus far. I'll never forget it!

So, everyone clear your calendars for August 18~ Cause that's the big day.
